Note
Bertolt Brecht (1898-1956) var lyriker, dramatiker och regissör. Född i Tyskland och verksam i Berlin.
År 1928 kom "Die Dreigroschenoper", med musik av Kurt Weil.
År 1933 flydde Brecht över Schweiz och Frankrike till Danmark och 1939 flyttade han till Sverige med hjälp av skådespelerskan Naima Wifstrand. I Sverige skrev han bl.a. "Mutter Courage und ihre Kinder".
Efter flera år i Finland, USA och Schweiz öppnade han 1954 sin egen scen, "Theater am Schiffbauerdamm", i dåvarande Öst-Berlin.
