På omslaget står med Carlheim-Gyllenskölds handstil: "Beskrifningar af Kerstin Strindberg på trakterna vid Dornach, der hon och hennes föräldrar bodde. (Gjorda i Stockholm samma dag hon reste, d. 4 Juni 1913, uppe hos mig, kl. 11-½1.)". Omslaget flyttades i oktober 1997.
