Katharina Martha Elisabeth Ottow föddes i Dorpat (nuvarande Tartu) 1887. 1914 kom hon till Sverige. Hon var sjuksköterska som arbetade bland hemlösa och frigivna i Stockholm. Ottow bildade 1926 Stockholms kyrkliga sociala råd. Hon skrev även några böcker.
